Tenure and Promotion Committee

Applications for tenure and promotion to both associate professor and full professor must follow the steps outlined in Section 5 of the Faculty Handbook, which is accessible in the faculty section of the portal external website.

Application Process

  • Applications materials are to be submitted via a folder in Google Drive, with share access provided to all committee members.
  • The application in Google Drive should be labeled with your name and the promotion for which you are applying (i.e. Assoc Professor or Professor).
  • Do NOT provide access to committe members until after your application is submitted to the Office of the Provost.
  • The files included should be organized in folders titled:
    • Application
    • Letters
    • Teaching Effectiveness
    • Scholarship
    • Advising & Mentorship
    • Service
    • Misc Support
  • You should create subfolders in each to organize materials. Examples of subfolders include SRS (organized by date/semester), Publications, etc.
