Faculty are now able to submit proposals for an FDC Grant. The grant will be for a maximum amount of $1,000 per faculty member and junior faculty members will be prioritized following the protocol defined below.
Grant reimbursement must be within 30 days of the end of the conference or 30 days of the receipt of the grant.

Criteria for FDC Grants
- Amount of each grant can be a maximum of $1,000 and can be used for research, travel or a combination of both.
- Proposals for the grant award will use a Google Form for request that will be available on the Faculty Development Committee webpage.
- Reimbursement protocol will require a completed and signed travel reimbursement request (.xlsx) and/or a complete signed budget supplies and justification request to annmarie.popson@wilkes.edu email link.
- Each faculty member can only be awarded one grant every alternate year.
- In a fiscal year, submissions to attend conferences for oral/poster presentations or for research funding by junior faculty (identified as untenured tenure track faculty or non-tenure-track faculty of practice in their first three years of service) will be reviewed and awarded on a monthly basis.
- In a fiscal year, submissions by faculty that are accompanying students to a conference will be reviewed and awarded on a monthly basis.
- In a fiscal year, submissions to attend conferences for oral/poster presentations or for research funding by senior faculty or non-tenure track faculty in service at Wilkes in their fourth year or more will be reviewed, but awards will be held to the end of the fiscal year and awarded only if additional funding is available. The committee will discern which requests are prioritized and awards will follow that protocol.
- Awards will not be made for networking events, online courses, attendance at conferences without presentations, attendance at conferences without student mentorship roles, or service roles at conferences.
