Area Fitness Facilities

Here is just a sampling of the many gyms and fitness centers in the local region. 


Are you interested in CrossFit but not sure where to start? Not sure if CrossFit is right for you? Read a little about it here then find out more by visiting a local "box". Most offer a visitor pass to try it out before you commit.

Yoga Classes 

There are a variety of yoga studios located in the area and many of the larger fitness facilities (YMCA, Vive, etc.) that offer group exercise classes include yoga on their schedules, which are usually available online so you can check them out. Many yoga studios also offer barre and pilates classes, so you can try a variety of class types at one location. These are just a few of the local yoga establishments to get you started.

Hiking Trails

Get outside and explore the many hiking trails that our area has to offer!

UCOM Hours

The University Center on Main gym has scheduled times for open recreation as well as an eighth mile track for walking, jogging, or running! 

Wilkes University Walking Paths

COMING SOON! Get out of the office or classroom and talk a walk around our beautiful campus! Based on how far you'd like to walk, we can suggest a route.
