Members of the Wilkes University campus community may register their bicycles with University Police.

When your submission is approved, you will receive an email and text notification that your registration is logged into the system. Information provided for this registration will be kept private and is stored only for University Police purposes.

Bike Safety Tips

In addition to registering your bike, please note the following best practices for locking your bicycle and keeping your property safe:

  1. Secure Locations: Lock your bike in well-lit, high-traffic areas.
  2. Proper Fit: Use a sturdy lock and ensure the lock fits snugly around the frame and wheel. Wilkes University Police always recommends using a U-bolt type of lock to better secure your bicycle and deter theft. These locks are available at most local retail stores and bicycle shops, and online retailers.
  3. Avoid Obstructions: Avoid locking your bike near obstacles that could make it easier for thieves to access.
