e-mentorA little bit about me: I am a native of Wilkes-Barre and chose Wilkes University because it offered everything I was looking for in a Musical Theatre program! The class sizes are perfect because each student is able to get a personal experience with the professors. The Theatre Department has encouraged me to explore all aspects of performance and has also pushed my interest in the technical side of productions. Our theatre department offers endless possibilities for students pursuing a major in Musical Theatre, Theatre Arts, and Technical Theatre. As my sophomore year went on, I found myself intrigued with the many creative minds of our English staff over at Kirby Hall. Our wonderful English teachers encouraged my writing with great enthusiasm and helped me strive throughout my courses. I then took up a double major in Musical Theatre and English as well as a minor in Creative Writing. Spring semester, I was given the opportunity to work at our Campus's Writing Center. I was enjoying myself so much that I later decided to explore my creative side even more and add another minor in Art! This past April, I was inducted as a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honors society. I also had the amazing privilege to speak at a local Career Day and express to many students how wonderful a career in the performing arts is! I cannot be more thrilled to be returning this year as an E-Mentor. My goal this year is to help all incoming students find a second home here at Wilkes University.

If I'm not doing homework, I'm most likely drawing or making a friendship bracelet or taking "artsy pics" (or watching Netflix). I really want to travel! I feel like there's so much history and art and so many beautiful places in the world to see! As a warning I'm just letting you know, I use a lot of exclamation points! A little bit about me: I am from Athens, PA; a small town on the New York border in Bradford County. I chose Wilkes because of the amazing opportunity to be accepted in Penn State's Hershey Medical School before I even arrived to college. Further, I knew the small campus would be ideal for more personal support in classes and less of the distraction of a larger school. I will be a junior in fall 2018. I am involved around the sciences and will be a TA for an intro biology as well as an organic lab. Lastly, I am involved with Dr. Kadlec in her lab, focusing on genetics in fruit flies.

A little bit about me: I'm originally from Kingston, PA, so I'm a local girl! I chose to transfer to Wilkes my second semester of college, and it has been the best choice I've ever made! Wilkes has so much to offer between academics and clubs and organizations. I'd never been much of a school spirit kind of person, but coming to Wilkes totally changed that! Being involved and a leader on campus is the best part of being at Wilkes. Since transferring, I've been involved in organizations like Student Government, Education Club, Sigma Tau Delta, and the Honors Program, and I was recently hired as a Resident Assistant and E-mentor! If I'm not in class, you can find me working at the Sordoni Art Gallery on campus. If you're ever looking for something fun to do on campus, I'm your go to! I'm so excited to see what this school year has to bring!

A little bit about me: I am from Ridley Park, PA which is 2 hours South of Wilkes Barre. I chose Wilkes for not only their Pharmacy program but for how welcoming everyone when I visited campus. I will be a P2 this fall and I make it a priority to involve myself on campus. I am a Lead Ambassador in the Admissions Office, the President-Elect of Wilkes' chapter of the American Pharmacist Association, and this will be my second year serving as a mentor for first year students! I recently began interning in an independent pharmacy and I am excited to begin utilizing all the skills I've acquired through the past few years!

A little bit about me: Hey! I am from Brodheadsville PA (small city in the Poconos). I personally chose Wilkes University because it was a lot smaller than other Universities, had the Air Force ROTC program, and the Business Program was amazing. Since it is smaller, it is much easier to make friends and be closer to people in my classes. I will be a sophomore this Fall 2018 and I plan to help you get involved in extracurricular activities and meet new people here at Wilkes!

A little bit about me: I am a junior Communication Studies major as of the 2018 Fall Semester. I am from Hazleton, PA which is only about 30 minutes away from Wilkes-Barre. I chose to go to Wilkes because it has a very close-knit atmosphere with many clubs and extra curricular activities that make it easy to do the things you love in addition to gaining a great education. I am currently part of the dance program, the Assistant Opinion Editor for the school newspaper: The Beacon, an Account Manager and Executive Editor for student-run public relations agency: Zebra Communications, captain of the Dance Team, and this is my first year as an E-Mentor. My goal as an E-Mentor is to help others transition to college as smoothly as possible and help them be able to get the most out of their time at Wilkes. In my free time I love drinking coffee, dancing, going to the gym, doing my make-up and watching YouTube videos.

A little bit about me: I am from Palmerton, Pa located in carbon county. I decided to attend Wilkes because of the ranked engineering program that they have here. I felt that the professors really care about the overall success of their students. I had the option to go to many other Universities but I chose Wilkes because when I first walked onto the campus it just felt right. Wilkes is a place where you can walk down the greenway and wave to your professors and they would actually know who you are. I will be entering my junior year as a environmental engineering major, I am active any many different clubs at Wilkes suck as the geoexplorer club! I have been doing research at Wilkes over the summer for the past two years and I am presently working on a bioremediation on a lake nearby Wilkes. My goal is to help you all with any question you would have at Wilkes, whatever they would be and help you all fall in love with Wilkes just like I did!
