Does the course give college credit?

Upon successful completion of the two-week course, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the CQA Institute. Your university may offer credit hours based upon criteria specific to your school.

What prerequisites are there to apply?

Students should have some academic experience in any or all of the following areas of study: finance, investments, economics, statistics, computer science or business. Any demonstration of a passion for investments is a plus.

How are students selected?

The program is very selective. The CQA Institute faculty is selecting a total class of 30 exceptional students for the program. Criteria for acceptance is based on academic achievement and interest in a career in investment management. The essay question on the application is a very important factor in the decision. We are not necessarily looking for the students with the highest grades, but those who have the most passion for the field of investment management.

Is room and board included?

Yes, the course fee includes on-campus room and board and also includes all of the costs of the excursions/activities throughout the two-week period.

Do I need to bring my own laptop?

Yes, you will need to bring your own laptop. The specific requirements are shared upon registration.

Are internships possible for the summer immediately after the program?

It is our intent to provide several internship opportunities that meet the requirements for the hiring firms. The internship application process will occur immediately after admission to the program.

How much does it cost?

The two-week program fee is $2,500, which is all inclusive (except transportation to and from the campus).

Yes, scholarships are available for students meeting certain criteria. See the scholarships page for more information.
