The Multicultural Student Coalition is a group of students dedicate to spreading diversity here on campus and in the Wilkes-Barre community. We look to get students more involved in campus activities. We sponsor events like our annual Talent Show, the One World Party, and offer free trips to our dedicated members!
We meet every Tuesday at 11:00am in the Savitz Lounge.
Commuter Council is a great way to meet new people. We discuss topics that include parking for all the students on campus, socials and fundraising events, and community service opportunities. Everyone here is a commuter; whether traveling from a nearby off campus apartment, or miles away. This is also a great opportunity to find people who may live fairly close to you, whom you may have not known. As a member of Commuter Council, you have an opportunity to be a leader. Many of our socials and events are headed by committees, which gives everyone a voice in the project. Although Commuter Council is fun, we also help the community, which is a very important part of the Wilkes experience. If you have any questions or concerns you may contact me, Bree Polascik, President of Commuter Council, by e-mail at email@example.com anytime. Hope to see you this year!
Meeting dates and times are sent out by email to the Commuter Council email list.
The Residence Hall Council consists of elected representatives from each campus residence halls. Its major function is to deal with the concerns of resident students—policy, parking, maintenance, etc.—and to present these concerns to the administration. RHC holds events during the school year such as Movie Night, Trivia Night, Waffle/Ice-Cream Social, Cake Challenge, Grammy Awards Party and our Main event THE STUDY BREAK PARTY (twice a year before finals week). We also work closely with Student Government, and Commuter Council to plan campus-wide social events and activities. All students are welcome to attend RHC meetings and/or serve as a member of one of its committees.
We meet every Thursday at 11:00am in the SUB Miller Room.
