Wilkes University’s Middle Level Education major develops competent, caring and ethical educators with strong subject matter content preparation and authentic, clinical field experiences. Benefit from a strong focus on adolescent literacy as well as content methods.

The Middle Level Education major leads to certification in teaching fourth through eighth grade. You’ll choose one of the following middle level specialization areas:

Wilkes has created Professional Development Schools with local urban and suburban public school districts, private schools and early childhood centers to give our students the opportunity to work with professional classroom teachers and connect theory with practice.
