CCEI Initiatives & Programs

Innovation Spaces

There’s always room for new ideas. With dedicated spaces in the Simms Center on Main and Stark Learning Center, the CCEI provides all student innovators and entrepreneurs with places to meet, receive mentorship, create and bring their ideas to life.

Interdisciplinary Education

There’s no limit to what you can explore. Through collaboration with faculty across disciplines and experts with a wide variety of skills and expertise, students can gain valuable insights that prepare them well to succeed in any career field or industry.

Innovation Ecosystems

There’s power in bringing people together. The center studies innovation ecosystems as a way for students to understand how government entities, individuals, companies and others with shared interests find solutions to shared challenges and launch new ventures.

A Commitment to Innovation

Wilkes University’s commitment to recognizing the importance of entrepreneurial thinking, creativity and innovation will now have an even bigger impact through a $1.5 million leadership gift from the Cohen Family and the Benco Family Foundation. The CCEI will be fully integrated into the academic portfolio of the College of Business and Engineering and serve as the driving force for curriculum development around these concepts.
