The Conservatory at Wilkes University is where the arts are alive! Exciting and challenging classes in music and dance at a place to learn, grow, aspire and excel!

The Conservatory is brimming with an extraordinary array of instructional arts and cultural programs which we are eager to share with the community.   Our goal is to become a primary resource for unparalleled education in the arts. Our professional faculty strives to provide experiences that will engage your talents in ways that are meaningful, inspirational and challenging.  Commitment to these endeavors affords limitless possibilities for growth and development in a chosen area of artistic study

The Conservatory faculty is comprised of highly regarded instructors who also maintain active careers as performers, composers, musicians, and artists. These seasoned professionals bring a wealth of unique knowledge and experiences to each and every student, taking education in the arts to the next level.

Instruction is available throughout the year for beginners through pre-professionals, artists as well as hobbyists and from children to the young at heart. Course offerings include orchestral instruments, piano, voice and guitar as well as an elite dance program of classical ballet. Specialty workshops and master classes are offered periodically during each semester of study in additional to annual performance opportunities.

Kristin Degnan Boonin and her late husband, Peter Degnan, established the Degnan Ballet Center (DBC) in 1983 as a school of classical ballet.
