Sean T. Harris has been a faculty member of Wilkes University’s Dance Program for
the past 12 years. Mr. Harris is the tap instructor at the University. In addition
to teaching tap courses, Mr. Harris has choreographed numerous musicals for the University.
Sean is the owner and master instructor of the Harris Conservatory for the Arts and
the Joan Harris Centre. Mr. Harris is a certified instructor with the Dance Educators
of America and a DEA award winning instructor in jazz and tap. Mr. Harris is also
a member of the Theater faculty at King’s College teaching courses in Jazz and Theatrical
Movement. Mr. Harris, one of 10 professional dancers in his family, is a former principal
dancer with the Miami Civic Theatre and the American Dance Theatre of Miami.
Mr. Harris has served as President of the Northeast Pennsylvania Theatrical Alliance
and was the recipient of five N.E.P.T.A. awards for Best Choreography. Mr. Harris
is still actively choreographing musicals for various theaters and universities and
is also a guest instructor and adjudicator at national dance conventions. His pieces
have been featured at the Keystone State Dance Festival and the Pennsylvania Choreographer’s
Showcase.
