Dr.   Nelson  M.  Anaya Archila

Dr. Anaya is a Mechanical, Civil, Environmental Engineer and Visiting Assistant Professor in the Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences Department. Dr. Anaya completed his bachelor degree in Bucaramanga, Colombia, and then he moved to US to acquire his Master degree and PhD in the University of Puerto Rico and University of Rhode Island, respectively.

Dr. Anaya’s research interests are focused in the study, understanding, and development of technologies for the detection, fate, transport, modeling and remediation of organic, inorganic and emerging contaminants in surface water, groundwater, wastewater, air and soils; as well in the interaction, impact and adaptation of these contaminants on microorganisms.
