Lieutenant Colonel Joshua Q. Lyons is the Commander of Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 752 and Professor of Aerospace Studies at Wilkes University, Pennsylvania. He is responsible for the recruitment, training, and development of United States Air Force and United States Space Force officer candidates from Wilkes University and 11 crosstown schools.

Lieutenant Colonel Lyons was commissioned in 2004 after graduating from Bloomsburg University through Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Wilkes University. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Weapons School and the National Intelligence University, from which he received a Masters of Science and Technology Intelligence degree with a concentration in cyber intelligence.

Lieutenant Colonel Lyons has served as the commander of the 57th Intelligence Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, and senior intelligence officer for the 366th Operations Support Squadron, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. He has served in a variety of positions at the squadron, group, and wing levels. His notable joint assignments include NATO Kosovo Force Headquarters, the U.S. Military Training Mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Intelligence Directorate. He has served as an intelligence officer or instructor for units operating the A-10 Thunderbolt II, F-16C/D Fighting Falcon Block 25/40/50/52, F-15E Strike Eagle, Republic of Singapore F-16 Block 52 and F-15SG, and Royal Saudi Air Force F-15S and F-15SA.

He has also served as an intelligence instructor in the 19th Weapons Squadron, U.S. Air Force Weapons School at Nellis AFB, Nevada, F-16 Fighting Falcon Intelligence Formal Training Unit at Luke AFB, Arizona, and F-15E Strike Eagle Intelligence Formal Training Unit at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho.
