What Will You Learn as an Accounting Major?

  • You'll begin your studies with a combination of technical and entrepreneurial projects, including courses in financial, managerial and tax accounting. Through the Integrated Management Experience, you'll plan and launch a business.
  • You'll learn how to collect, analyze, validate and present data and information about companies and organizations that accurately reveal their financial position and performance.
  • Throughout the program, you will develop your leadership, technical, communication and critical-thinking skills, which will be valuable no matter which field you enter.

You'll learn hands-on lessons in leadership and decision-making through an internship. Recent internship locations include PwC, Baker Tilly, PKF O'Connor Davies, McGrail Merkel Quinn & Associates, and Kearney & Company.

4+1 MBA Program

Save time and money by earning an MBA in only one extra year with our accelerated five-year bachelor’s degree/MBA. You'll take up to 9 credits of MBA courses in the final semester of your senior year.

CPA Option

Working with your advisor, you can choose a four-year path or a five-year program that includes an MBA. We'll help you prepare to take the certified public accountant exam in the specific state you want.
