Take summer classes at Wilkes!

Our summer program features a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, workshops and mini-courses for Wilkes students or visiting students. Summer classes are a great way to lighten your course load for next year, catch up on missed classes or even graduate early. The summer undergraduate schedule includes a number of convenient day and evening sessions. Choose to start your summer courses in May, June or July.

Preregistration for Wilkes students starts on March 10. Visiting students may register for courses starting on March 17. Click here for registration information.

Summer 2014 Classes

3 week pre-session:May 19 to June 6  Summer Classes at Wilkes
Full session: May 19 to Aug. 15
Summer session I:
June 9 to July 11
Nine-week session: June 9 to Aug. 12
Summer session II: July 14 to Aug. 15

On the graduate level, classes are available on weekends and in the evenings.

Special undergraduate courses at the Marine Science Consortium at Wallops Island, Virginia are also offered each summer.
*Summer Tuition Discount Program
Wilkes University offers summer tuition at the discounted rate of $495 per credit for undergraduate courses. That's 30% less than the standard tuition price! This discount does not apply to any graduate, professional programs, accelerated or second bachelor's degree programs, or courses already discounted.

Featured Summer Course

COM 124. Mass Media Literacy
Enroll in this course to study mass media and its role in society. Take an in-depth look at newer media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The course is taught by Dr. Mia Briceno. Young scholars welcome!

COM 124 is offered in the second summer 2014 session (July 14 to Aug. 15).
