Guided students through daily operation of lab, led weekly lab meetings, provided instruction on research methods, data coding, and data analysis. Served as mentor by discussing graduate school options and job opportunities; edited drafts of graduate school applications RESEARCH INTERESTS My research program and future research interests pertain to children’s and adolescents’ peer relationships. In particular, I am interested in how adolescents’ friendships change with the onset of romantic relationships and how adolescents successfully manage both types of relationships. I am also interested in the processes of peer influence, also referred to as “peer pressure,” specifically friends’ influence over children’s and adolescents’ academic, social, and psychological adjustment and prosocial behaviors.
