"I love that our professors get to know us on a one-to-one basis."
Major: Communications Studies
Activities On and Off Campus: On-Air Talent for Wilkes World, Writer for The Beacon (Student Newspaper), Zebra Communication Board Member, Student Coordinator for Tom Bigler Journalism Conference, Intern at WBRE’s PA Live (Read his blog)
Career Aspirations: I'd like to work in the news or public relations field.
Most Worthwhile Leadership Experience: I was the chairperson of my church’s 120th anniversary when I was a senior in high school. I had to form a committee and run everything for the celebration. This included arranging subcommittees, helping to create a memory photobook, the advertising, the mass, the music aspect. I had something to do with every detail. It was one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had.
Best Thing about Being a Student at Wilkes University?: I really enjoy the class sizes. I love that our professors get to know us on a one-to-one basis. That’s one of the big reasons I picked Wilkes. I really wanted that personal touch.
Why Wilkes?: I was told by many people that the Communications Department at Wilkes was the best local communication department. I also had Dr. Estwick for a public speaking class when I was in High School and I was really impressed by the opportunities to get involved.
