Career Aspirations: I would like to explore career possibilities and find one that suits me best and that I enjoy.
Most Worthwhile Leadership Experience: As a first generation college student, it’s setting an example for my sister and my family. My sister has such an interest in school now that she sees how happy I am. That’s motivation for me in everything that I do.
Best thing about being a student at Wilkes University: The ability to get involved. As a sophomore, I have a chance to write press releases and get involved immediately. I’m getting hands-on experience early in my college career.
It’s easy for me to do a lot of things because I have a lot of support from my peers and my teachers. If I need help with anything, I’d have it 110%.
Why Wilkes: I didn’t know where I was going to go when I was in High School. I took a tour and fell in love with everything. It had very welcoming feelings. I felt like I fit in immediately.
It had a good communications program. The faculty was so nice and I didn’t feel like I was a number - plus I loved that there are so many opportunities to get involved.
