You can afford to attend Wilkes University.
The key is to apply for financial aid. Even if you don't think you qualify, give it a chance.
Fact: At least 96 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid.
Fact: Last year, we provided more than $19 million to our students. (If you add federal and state aid, that number jumps to more than $23 million!)
Fact: You don't have to fill out a separate scholarship application to be considered for a scholarship. We work closely with families to make a Wilkes education a reality.
Federal Direct Loan Program:
Wilkes University participates in the Federal Direct Loan Program(FDSLP). Direct Loans are low-interest loans for students and parents to help pay for the cost of a student's education after high school. The lender is the U.S. Department of Education (the Department), though the entity you deal with, your loan servicer, can be a private business.
With Direct Loans, you:
- Borrow directly from the federal government and have a single contact—your loan servicer—for everything related to repayment, even if you receive Direct Loans at different schools.
- Have online access to your Direct Loan account information via your servicer's website.
- Can choose from several repayment plans that are designed to meet the needs of almost any borrower, and you can switch repayment
