Earn a low - residency M.F.A or M.A. in as little as 30 or 18 months
 
 
 


Master of Arts:

  • Complete your degree in as little as 18 months.
  • June and January  residencies (8 days) offer workshops, readings, and meetings with writers.
  • Meet agents and editors in residencies and learn the business aspect of writing.
  • Bachelor's degree in any field will be considered for admission.

Master of Fine Arts:

  • Complete your M.F.A. with in an additional year (18 credits) to your Wilkes University M.A. in Creative Writing degree.
  • Graduate with a terminal degree in as little as two and half years.
  • Complete a semester-long internship in: Publishing or Teaching the Arts.

Admissions requirements:
•  An application.
•  Two letters of recommendation (optional).
•  Transcripts showing your undergraduate studies.
  No course prerequisites.

No degree required.
Courses are transferable to the M.A. degree in Creative Writing.

Low-residency means...
You are on the Wilkes University campus for two eight-day residencies per year in January and June.

Online means...
The rest of your coursework will be conveniently delivered via a password-protected website, so you can connect with faculty and classmates from any computer equipped with an Internet connection.
