Join Us for a Wilkes Wednesday Webinar: COVID-19 Virology and Public Health Implications

The Alumni Office recently sent a survey to gauge the current perspective of our alumni. We hope to provide positive ways for Colonels to help one another and inspire each other. The responses offered ample data to begin planning free webinars as a way to add even greater value to our alumni during this crisis. The series is titled Wilkes Wednesday Webinars and will run every Wednesday for the next several weeks at 1 p.m EST.

We are opening this week’s webinar to the Wilkes community. The webinar is led by Wilkes alumni, Ruth McDermott-Levy ’82 and Chris Woolverton ’82. They will discuss the virology and public health implications of COVID-19, how the pandemic affects those around the nation, and provide statistics on the virology of the sickness.

McDermott-Levy is an associate professor and director for the Center for Global and Public Health at Villanova University. Woolverton is a professor of environmental health sciences in the College of Public Health at Kent State University.
