Observing Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15

National Police Week is May 10-16, and today, Friday, May 15, is Peace Officers Memorial Day, as designated by President John F. Kennedy in 1962.

Join me as we remember the brave men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Please keep in your thoughts the dedicated police officers who serve Wilkes University, especially during this pandemic. Your University Police Department has operated without pause since the outbreak of this horrible disease which to date has claimed the lives of over 100 police officers nationally. They are true heroes and it is my honor to serve them.

Best regards and stay well,
Chief Christopher Jagoe
