Enhance Your Online Teaching Skills and Earn a Badge
So now you are teaching online, but maybe you aren’t familiar with best practices
or how to best manage an online class.
The Office of Technology for Teaching and Learning (OTTL) is here to help with a three-week, fully online, asynchronous course, Facilitating Learning Online (FLO), to get you energized, educated and ready to teach your content online. In this engaging course, you will experience online learning from the student’s perspective while becoming familiar with tried, tested and research-based practices in online learning and instruction.
The course load is two to three hours per week, depending on your past experience. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive our OTTL FLO badge that can be displayed on D2L/LIVE, LinkedIn and other social sites, showcasing your newfound skills in online education.
There are six sections being offered. The dates are:
June 15 to July 12 (two sections)
June 22 to July 19
June 29 to July 26
July 6 to August 2
July 13 to August 9
These sections will be facilitated by your peers, FLO badge earners who have years
of experience teaching online and are highly qualified to support you in your transition
to online teaching and developing the necessary skills to be effective in this format.
OTTL is excited to have them work with us to provide this important workshop.
Space is limited, so SIGN UP TODAY! We will accommodate as many as we can. As sections fill up, you will be placed on a waitlist and have the option to choose an alternate section.
