Wilkes University

USAC to Host Lunch & Learn on Community Service Initiative

If you're free at 11 a.m., please stop by. You're welcome even if you didn't have a chance to RSVP!

Did you know Wilkes offers its employees a community service leave benefit?  Are you interested in volunteering at a local agency or organization in your home community? Wilkes University is a vital component of the local community and is committed to help strengthen the relationships of employees to the communities in which they work and live.

The University Staff Advisory Committee (USAC) will sponsor a Lunch & Learn at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, in UCOM 127, to review volunteer and service opportunities available for Wilkes employees and the community service leave benefit. Megan Boone Valkenburg from Civic Engagement will offer information on various service opportunities available through Wilkes and in the community.

Lunch will be provided. To attend, please RSVP to usac@wilkes.edu by Friday, Feb. 21.

Sam’s Club will be in UCOM from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to offer discounts to Wilkes employees.
