Honor Our Veterans at the Veterans Day Ceremony

The Veterans Day Ceremony, hosted by the Veterans Council, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the MAC. If the weather is nice, the ceremony will be held at the flagpoles at Veterans Memorial Court.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early. Refreshments will be available.

Originally known as Armistice Day, Veterans Day is on Nov. 11. This federal holiday is meant to honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The Wilkes University Veterans Council has been hosting the ceremony since 2010, with the much-appreciated help and guidance of Lt. Col. Mark Kaster USAF Ret.

Lt Col Kaster, USAF Ret., is a career meteorologist and teaches in the Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences Department. He is also the Wilkes University Veteran Counselor, assisting veterans and their dependents with their education benefits and VA certifying officials.
