Early Dismissal on July 3, 2019Dear Members of the Campus Community:
This week, our nation celebrates the Fourth of July, which marks the declaration of independence of the United States from Great Britain in 1776. This holiday provides us all with an opportunity to celebrate with friends and family at parties, picnics, historical observances, and fireworks displays.
To help you get a head start on your holiday plans, the University will dismiss non-essential personnel at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. It is our hope that this early dismissal will allow you to travel more safely or prepare for gatherings more easily. As a reminder, the University will be closed on Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5.
We wish you a very happy and safe Fourth of July holiday!
Patrick F. Leahy and Paul S. Adams
