SHINE Program Seeks Teacher Assistants and Paraprofessionals

The Wilkes University SHINE After-school Program is looking for teacher assistants/paraprofessionals to work in the SHINE After-school Program. The positions provide assistance in carrying out projects, serving meals, assisting with homework and interacting with families at family night events. This opportunity will expose you to the most innovative strategies in education and the skills needed to be more competitive in the job market.

The teacher assistant/ paraprofessional positions are up to 12 hours a week, Students are paid $9 an hour and paraprofessionals are paid $13 an hour. The program operates after school from approximately 3:15 to 6:15 p.m. throughout the school year.  Teacher Assistants are responsible for their own transportation and for all mandated clearances.

There are openings at this time at the SHINE Middle school program at Wilkes Barre Career and Technical Center.
