How to Turn Stress into an Advantage

Stress is unavoidable. But is it always harmful? In this 45-minute presentation, "Change your mindset, change the game: How to Turn Stress into an Advantage," Dr. Mia Bartoletti, psychologist in Health and Wellness Services, will present the upside of stress and how to harness its benefits. Science shows that with the right mindset, stress can make us smarter, stronger, and more resilient. Stress can even help you connect with what you care about most and strengthen close relationships.

This talk will explore the latest stress research and how mindsets alter physiological and psychological responses to stress, introducing simple/practical interventions to consciously and deliberately change your mindset to affect organizational and individual performance, physiological and psychological well-being and interpersonal effectiveness. This new science of stress resilience will give you a renewed sense of optimism about your own ability to handle whatever challenges life brings and empower you to support others in handling the stress in their lives.
