Diversity Initiatives Presents African American Read-In

The National African American Read-In is the nation’s oldest event dedicated to diversity in literature. It was established in 1990 by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English to make literacy a significant part of Black History Month.

Join in from 4:15 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21.

Wilkes students will read the book “We Could Be Brothers" by Derrick Barnes to students in the SHINE after-school program. Spots for volunteers are limited. Please sign up by Tuesday, Feb. 12, by emailing erica.acosta@wilkes.edu
