Wilkes to Host Visiting Author NoViolet Bulawayo

The English Department and the Allan Hamilton Dickson Spring Writers Series presents author and Man Booker Prize finalist NoViolet Bulawayo for a reading and Q&A at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in the Kirby Hall Salon. The event is free and open to the public.

Bulawayo, acclaimed novelist, essayist and short story writer, is the author of the novel "We Need New Names," which was a finalist for the Man Booker Prize.  It was recognized with the LA Times Book Prize Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction, the Pen/Hemingway Award, and the Etisalat Prize for Literature.
