Wilkes Alum to Hold Marsy's Law Presentation
Madison Scarfaro ’18 will give a presentation on Marsy’s Law from 11 to 11:15 a.m.
on Thursday, April 25, in the Miller Room.
Marsy’s Law seeks to amend state constitutions that don’t offer protections to crime victims, and eventually, aims to amend the U.S. Constitution to give victims rights equal to those already afforded to accused individuals. The law was named after Marsalee (Marsy) Nicholas, a University of California Santa Barbara student who was stalked and killed by her ex-boyfriend in 1983.
Scarfaro will also provide additional resources and information at a table on the first floor of the Henry Student Center after her presentation.
