Hollywood Filmmaker to Speak on Campus

President Patrick Leahy invites you to meet award-winning Hollywood producer and  filmmaker Jim Whitaker when he visits campus on Monday, April 29.  Whitaker is a 25-year veteran of the motion picture industry who has been the lead producer of blockbusters including "A Wrinkle in Time," "American Gangster," "Friday Night Lights," "8 Mile," "Rebirth" and many more. 

Join President Leahy for one or both of the following events: 

Rebirth: Chronicling the Rebuilding After 9/11

Location: Karambelas Media Center TV Studio

At this event, Jim Whitaker will discuss how he captured the historic rebuilding of the World Trade Center site on film, his experiences interviewing those coping with loss, and the role of a documentary filmmaker. 

Interested in watching some of "Rebirth?"  The film will be show in the Karambelas Media Center Viewing Room throughout the day on Wednesday, April 24, and Thursday, April 25.  Stop by anytime to experience some of "Rebirth" before Jim’s discussion.
