Wilkes students are invited to have their photo taken with 2018 Max Rosenn Lecture in Law and Humanities speaker Kareem Abdul-Jabbar from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, in the lobby of the Sordoni Art Gallery.  Online pre-registration is required.

In order to accommodate as many students as possible, groups of four to 12 individuals are recommended. Please note that only one person representing a student group needs to fill out a registration form.

The lecture, “Becoming Kareem,” will be moderated by President Leahy and begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, in the McHale Athletic Center.  During the lecture, Mr. Abdul-Jabbar will explore issues such as political activism in sports, race relations, and facing life’s struggles with positivity. He will also address the importance of STEM education in underserved communities, the driving force behind his Skyhook Foundation. The lecture will conclude with a book signing.  Please register for the lecture online.
