Undergraduate faculty are reminded to take advantage of Wilkes Early Alert to support
student success and engagement in the learning process. Early Alert allows professors
to provide “just-in-time” feedback to students, academic advisors and University College
staff, so that critical academic and non-academic interventions and support can be
provided. The Early Alert tool also allows the University to monitor and provide needed
interventions to students who may begin the semester at risk. Faculty teaching our
newest students (first-year and recent transfer students) are especially urged to
complete an Early Alert report about any student who is in need of a supportive intervention.
Early Alert works through Interact, the same system used to post mid-semester evaluations
and final grades. Contact Tom Thomas (email@example.com) in University College for questions or concerns.
