The Family Service Association of NEPA will hold a Community Kick-off event at 6 p.m.
on Thursday, Oct. 25 at King’s College. The evening features DJ Choices – an educational
program that promotes opiate awareness with the use of popular music, lighting effects
and stimulating videos. This program runs about 45 minutes followed by a Q&A and will

The event serves as a kick-off to our Annual National Family Week Conference: A Community Built to Conquer Opioid Addiction, which will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26, at Genetti’s. Twelve workshops will be provided focusing on different professional aspects of the opioid crisis.

long road to recovery. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Rachel Levine, Secretary for
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the
Penn State College of Medicine. Continuing education credits will be offered and twenty
resource tables will be open for participants to visit and obtain pertinent information.
The conference is $30 per person or $15 per student. Please register online. Check out the Facebook page for more information.
