Travel and Snow Squall Safety Tips

Today is one of the busiest travel days of the year.  The National Weather Service has issued the following travel warning and snow squall safety tips for Central Pennsylvania.  Please drive safely and enjoy the Thanksgiving Holiday!

Snow squalls will threaten dangerous travel with an increased risk for accidents across parts of central Pennsylvania between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, Nov. 21. Sudden whiteout conditions, slippery roads and rapid freezing on roads may result in significant disruptions/delays on the busiest travel day of the year. Stay alert for rapidly changing conditions especially on I-80 & I-99. Plummeting temperatures tonight will cause melted snow or wet areas to refreeze, creating areas of black ice and slick conditions on untreated surfaces.
