Come to the Sordoni Gallery's Final Lecture of the Academic Year
The Sordoni Art Gallery is proud to present our final lecture of the academic year
with collector Andrew J. Sordoni III at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, in the gallery.
His lecture, "The Solitary Figure in American Illustration" focuses on Sordoni's interest in figure study. It accompanies the exhibition "Selections from the Sordoni Collection of American Illustration & Comic Art," featuring 100 artists and over 135 art works that have been collected for the past 50 years. Works featured are by N.C. Wyeth, Maxfield Parrish, Frank Schoonover, J.C. Leyendecker, Norman Rockwell and many more. This exhibition was curated by Stanley I. Grand, Ph.D., and runs until May 20.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
