Pharmaceutical Sciences to Host Guest Speaker

titled, “Preclinical Evaluation of Novel Treatments to Attenuate Post-Stroke Brain
Damage and Facilitate Neurological Recovery.”
It will be presented by Koteswara Rao Nalamolu, M. Pharm., Ph.D., a research scientist in the department of Cancer Biology and Pharmacology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria, Il. His research focuses on ischemic stroke, inflammation, stem cell therapy and metalloproteinases. He has sixteen years of teaching experience in the area of pharmacology and was a founding member of GITAM Dental College, India and School of Medicine, Taylor’s University in Malaysia. Dr. Nalamolu also authored or co-authored over 34 peer-reviewed publications and 24 conference proceedings/presentations.
The presentation is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, in the Karambelas Media Center, Room 135.
