Learn about Wilkes' New Logo and Visual Identity

Wilkes University is sporting a new look! Our new visual identity, recently announced by President Patrick F. Leahy, will bolster our reputation as a bold, prestigious institution of higher learning. Over the next several months, we’ll be transitioning from the “W” mark to an academic logo that incorporates the university seal. The ubiquitous “W” will be used as a spirit mark and become part of the athletics logo.

Maintaining a unified look and feel in materials created to represent Wilkes University will strengthen the brand. It will help us avoid inconsistencies and confusion among prospective students, university peers and in the community.

The Office of Marketing Communications will host workshops to acquaint the campus community with the new logo and visual identity. These workshops will explain when and how to use the new logo.

We hope that each department will be represented at one of the workshops, which will take place this week in UCOM 231:

  • 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, July 31
  • 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 1

Additional workshops may be scheduled, if needed. We ask for your cooperation and patience as we make this transition.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
