Event to Raise Awareness about Human Trafficking

The NEPA Task Force Against Human Trafficking will be holding a Red Sand Project Ceremony to raise awareness about the problem of Human Trafficking in northeastern Pennsylvania. The ceremony will begin at noon on Jan. 31 at the Luzerne County Courthouse South Entrance. The brief program will include remarks by Tom Mosca, co-chair of the Task Force and Stefanie Salavantis, Luzerne County District Attorney. Participants will be invited to take a cup of red sand and pour it into a sidewalk crack to remind us of those in our society who have been affected by human trafficking.
