Visiting Writer Tom C. Hunley Presents Poetry Workshop and Reading

Join visiting writer Tom C. Hunley on Wednesday, Sept. 13 for a poetry workshop, reading and book signing sponsored by the English Department’s Allan Hamilton Dickson Fund.

The poetry workshop will be held from 3 to 4:15 p.m. in Kirby Hall, Room 108. It’s open to Wilkes students, faculty and staff. If you’re interested, please RSVP to Mischelle Anthony via email at mischelle.anthony@wilkes.edu

The reading and book signing will be held at 7 p.m. in the Kirby Salon. It is free and open to the public.

Hunley is a professor in the MFA/BA Creative Writing programs at Western Kentucky University and the director of Steel Toe Books. He will read from his sixth full-length poetry collection, Here Lies (Stephen F. Austin State University Press, 2018) and from The State That Springfield Is In (Split Lip Press, 2016), a collection of 40 dramatic monologues in the voices of characters from “The Simpsons.”
