Donald Grier Stephenson to Speak on the First Amendment
Donald Grier Stephenson, professor emeritus and formerly the Charles A. Dana professor of government at Franklin & Marshall College, will deliver the lecture, Government in Religion and Religion in Government: How Much is too Much? on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. in Breiseth, Room 106. It will examine the Supreme Court’s evolving interpretation of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment.
Stephenson has published multiple books as well as 16 book reviews. He received his master’s degree and doctorate in politics from Princeton University. He has been a guest lecturer at many universities and colleges and is a veteran of the U.S. Army.
