Drone to Fly Over Campus

On Oct. 24, 2017, from 1 to 4 p.m., the UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle, commonly referred to as a drone) program developer and chief pilot from DiGioia Gray will be visiting campus. As part of his visit, he will be working with a class on environmental mapping and exploring photogrammetry techniques using a UAV. We will be flying a UAV/drone over the Greenway and around campus to generate a 3D model of Wilkes University.

Please do not be alarmed by the presence of a UAV/drone at these times. Please do not engage the remote pilot in command (RPIC), the pilot or the visual observer during operation of the UAV.

The proper paperwork has been approved/filed by Justin Kraynack. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact
