Sport Management Club Hosts Wiffle Ball Tournament

The Sport Management Club at Wilkes University will host a Wiffle Ball Tournament on Dec. 9 in the McHale Athletic Center (located in UCOM). 

The tournament will feature a maximum of eight teams competing in a fun but competitive tournament that will guarantee at least three games.

First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m., with registration opening at 12:15 p.m. Registered teams will be asked to convene at 12:45 p.m. to discuss the playing rules.

The cost is $5 per player. Teams are asked to pay as a team on game day. Light refreshments will be available for purchase.

Each team must have a minimum of three players and a maximum of seven players on the roster. A maximum of five will play the field at a time. All players will be in the batting order.

All of the day's proceeds will benefit the Sport Management Club.

About the Sport Management Club: The SM Club is a group of student with an interest in the management of athletic programs. Students learn to work collaboratively to tackle challenges in sport management. The club discusses ways to meet organizational goals and deadlines while leveraging assets for marketing, resources and programming. The club is open to all majors and ​meets ​periodically on some Thursdays at 12:15 p.m.
