Join the MLK Day of Service

On January 16, 2017 Wilkes University will once again partner with the American Red Cross for a life-saving volunteer event. The MLK Day of Service event will be installing smoke alarms in neighborhoods in NEPA. The Civic Engagement Office realizes this is a day off, but what more perfect time to volunteer.

There are three simultaneous events occurring in Dunmore, Scranton, and Wilkes-Barre.

Meet at 9 a.m. at any one of the following locations

  • St. Mary’s School, 325 Chestnut St., Dunmore
  • Steamtown Church, 1511 Pittston Ave., Scranton 
  • Red Cross Wilkes-Barre office, 256 N. Sherman St., Wilkes-Barre 

Lunch will be provided after the installations.
