Attend a Free Showing of Dreamcatcher
All are welcome to the Cultural Film Series showing of Dreamcatcher on Wednesday, Feb. 15 in Stark 259 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This documentary follows the work of activist and former prostitute Brenda Myers-Powell
who works to rescue women and girls from trafficking and prostitution in Chicago.
Dreamcatcher won an award at the Sundance film festival and was nominated for an NAACP image award. The documentary is inspirational as it follows Myers-Powell and her work in schools, prisons, and on the streets. You can learn more about the film or the Dreamcatcher Foundation before the showing.
