P4’s: Fellowship Opportunities in Industry and Precision Medicine at LIU

LIU Pharmacy is pleased to announce two new, 24-month fellowship options. We invite your top graduates to apply for these competitive positions.

Lasdon Research Fellowship Program in Drug Information and Medical Communications
Launching this summer in partnership with Medical Knowledge Group, this unique fellowship enables PharmD graduates to strengthen their expertise in the areas of drug information and medical communications and marketing. Fellows will be immersed in valuable hands-on practice through LIU Pharmacy's Brooklyn-based International Drug Information Center, and the Manhattan-based Medical Knowledge Group, which is an analytics-driven and technology-enabled multi-channel healthcare marketing and communications provider servicing the biopharmaceutical industry.

LIU-Pfeiffer Foundation Post-Doctoral Clinical & Research Fellowship in Precision Medicine/Pharmacogenomics
Launching in September in partnership with the Pfeiffer Foundation, this fellowship will expand knowledge in the emerging field of precision medicine. This position will work with Dr. Jeffrey Idle, a global pioneer in precision medicine, who recently joined LIU Pharmacy to lead our newly established Division of Systems Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics at the Samuel J. and Joan B. Williamson Institute and hold the endowed position of Arthur G. Zupko Chair. This is an opportunity for PharmD graduates to conduct independent and collaborative research. Fellows will explore novel pathways in precision medicine, approaching disease treatment and prevention by accounting for individual variability in genes, environment, and lifestyle. In addition to extensive research, our fellows will provide patient care in an interdisciplinary precision medicine clinic.

Both of these programs offer competitive stipend and benefits packages, as well as the opportunity to learn in New York City's unique training ground. For more information about applying for these fellowships, please contact Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs, Robert DiGregorio (robert.digregorio@liu.edu).
