AMCP P&T Competition - Request for Judges

Event Details: The Wilkes University AMCP Chapter will be hosting a Student P&T Competition, similar to the Annual AMCP National Competition. The competition is designed to challenge student pharmacists to gain a real world perspective of the formulary management process. The students will be researching the drug Synjardy, which is a medication for type 2 diabetes and was recently approved by the FDA in August 2015. During their research, students will develop a short report and presentation on Synjardy's efficacy, safety, tolerability, cost, prior authorization requirements, and whether or not it should be added to the formulary. A panel of judges will review each team's material and determine a winner. Currently AMCP is looking for professors who are interested in judging the competition from 6-8pm on Friday, March 18th, 2016. The student teams will be submitting a written summary and their presentation slides to AMCP by March 4th, 2016, for review prior to their presentation on the 18th. Their presentations will be approximately 15 minutes in duration, and there are about seven teams participating. Food will be provided for participants and judges. Please contact Amber Dietrich (amber.dietrich@wilkes.edu) if you are interested in judging the P&T Competition, or if you would like more information about the competition.
