Lizzie Cook, P4 Pharmacy student, selected as a 2015 American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Walmart

Wilkes University School of Pharmacy is pleased to announce that Lizzie Cook, PharmD '15, has been chosen as a scholar for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Walmart Scholars Program. The goal of this scholarship program is to strengthen the recipient's skills and commitment to a career in academic pharmacy through participation in programming and activities at the 2015 AACP Annual Meeting and Seminars. The program provides $1,000 travel scholarships to 85 student/faculty pairs from AACP member institutions and is highly competitive. Lizzie will be attending the AACP Annual Meeting and the AACP Teachers Seminar in Baltimore, MD in July 2015 along with her faculty mentor , Dr. Malinowski. Dr. Malinowski endorsed Lizzie for her creative integration of SD-IPPE activities within various disciplines including public health TV announcements and Beacon blogs, and her exceptional research and teaching initiatives throughout her student career at Wilkes University. This is the first time a Wilkes student was awarded this scholarship since 2010. Congratulations to Lizzie on this prestigious accomplishment!
