Wilkes University Hosts Presentation on Energy and International Climate Policy
Wilkes University hosts European energy policy expert Timon Wehnert for a presentation on The German Energy Transition: Lessons for Pennsylvania. The event is from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 20 in the Stark Learning Center, Room 101, 150-180 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre.
The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion featuring panelists from Pennsylvania Environment Council, Penn Future, PA Watersheds and Wilkes University. The event is co-hosted by Wilkes University Institute for Energy and Environment Research and Eastern Pennsylvania Coalition for Abandoned Mineland Reclamation. The presentation is funded by the Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds.

Wehnert is from the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy in Berlin, Germany. He is the vice-head and project coordinator of Energy, Transport and Climate. Wehnert’s research is on European energy policy and international climate policy with a focus on developing countries. He has also authored numerous scholarly papers on energy and climate change policy.
